START A PARTY AT THE CASTLE OF GOOD HOPE

Last night, June 25, J&B®, the world's ultimate party whisky, staged one of its legendary global parties at the Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town, where a fusion of old and new gave revellers from around the world a truly unconventional party experience.

A new wave of global party cities is riding high and last night's party at the Castle of Good Hope mixed the old and new; traditional and unconventional in an event that helped usher in South Africa as a new party capital.

A star-studded line-up lead by electronic music icon and worldclass international DJ Carl Craig provided the soundtrack to an exceptional party, with local artist Ivan Turanjanin of Soft Touch Operation, Monique Pascall and Culoe De Song completing the line-up.

Guests enjoyed a mixing of the old and new at the historic Castle of Good Hope. As well as experiencing futuristic video mapping, facial recognition stations, a floating stage, video dance floor and 'interactive trees' where guests could download one-off content as a reminder of the night, revellers also enjoyed bespoke cocktails mixed especially for the party.

J¥B® has a legacy of starting legendary parties at iconic and unexpected locations all around the world where they have never been held before; World Heritage sites such as the ancient region of Cappadocia in Turkey and the Forbidden City in Beijing, China; as well as a disused Prison at the end of the earth in Ushuaia, Argentina and in the oldest continually inhabited city in the world, Byblos in Lebanon.

J¥B® staged its most recent party in November 2010 on the Riviera Maya, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, where guests from all over the world started a party under the Mayan sun.

J¥B® will continue to 'Start a Party' in unexpected ways and locations across the world in 2011 and beyond, always reminding guests that great parties start, and finish, responsibly.
